Testing mobile apps can be a tricky business - some functionalities can’t be tested using tools like emulators and virtual devices, leaving teams carrying out sometimes extensive, and certainly cumbersome, manual testing. Mobot now offers an alternative: simply send a video of the manual test required, and its fleet of supervised QA robots will carry out the tests themselves on actual Android/iOS devices.
This serves up the best of both worlds: speed and efficiency, without the need to code out test cases. It also works with over 200 physical devices, including real world functionalities like swiping, tapping, and rotating.
Its closest major competitor is probably Testilio, which also offers physical testing - but it doesn’t cover the same level of operational nitty-gritty, like multi-device messaging, facial recognition, and SMS multi-factor authentication. In the robotics testing department, there’s also Tapster, but the company has remained modest in size, leaving the market wide open for Mobot, which has enjoyed substantial funding to expand its fleet.
