Our take
Good accounting is vital for a startup's growth, enabling founders to track financial metrics, identify strengths and weaknesses, and make informed decisions for future expansion. But these tasks can be cumbersome and difficult to do successfully without experience. Novabook revolutionises accounting for startups by providing access to experienced accountants that can manage bookkeeping, payments, payroll and more.
Users are able to talk directly to their assigned accountant, and Novabook’s platform provides a comprehensive view of filings, processes at work, and anything they need to action. The company is also building a suite of products to automate accounting workflows, aiming to remove 90% of the manual work within firms while improving on existing costly and error-prone solutions.
Novabook was founded by a team that previously built and exited a successful EdTech company, and hence, the company understands the challenges faced by entrepreneurs. Choosing to focus on the need for better accounting, Novabook removes this burden from the shoulders of founders, allowing them to focus on building their business. The company is well-funded, growing quickly, and already boasts over 900 clients.
