Our take

Convene designs and operates premium meeting, event, and flexible workspace venues inside Class A office buildings. Founded with the aim of improving how people meet and work, its venues can host a wide range of events while also offering flexible WorkSuites and shared workspaces.

Like many businesses focused on in-person gatherings, Convene was significantly impacted by the pandemic in 2020, when demand for physical events declines sharply. In response, the company expanded is capabilities to support virtual and hybrid events, allowing conferences to reach both in-person an remote audiences. These formats allow participants to join sessions online, interact with speakers and hosts, and connect with other attendees through digital networking tools.

Convene has since continued evolving its platform and physical venues to support a more flexible events market. The company also strengthened its international presence through the 2023 acquisition of etc.venues, expanding into the UK and growing its portfolio to dozens of locations across the US and UK. With this broader footprint and a mix of in-person, hybrid, and flexible workspace offerings, Convene is aiming to scale is hospitality-driven model even more and grow annual revenues to $100M.
