- Backed by 5+ years of professional experience
- Proficient in managing projects with multiple deliverables, timelines, and cross-functional partners
- Skilled at facilitating workshops and trainings for small and large groups, in-person and remotely
- Experienced with designing and implementing career development programs at scale at a high-growth organization, including building project plans and communication strategies, gaining stakeholder buy-in, and creating program materials
- Comfortable creating career development program assessment strategies, including but not limited to survey design, survey analysis, and facilitating focus groups
- An engaged collaborator who is passionate about connecting with people
- A team player who’s able to communicate well—clearly, kindly, often—within our department and across the company
- A strong organizer and project manager
- An inquisitive spirit with an iterative approach (you’re intentional about collecting and using feedback)

What the job involves
- Warby Parker is searching for a driven, solution-oriented Manager of Talent Development to expand on and implement our career development programs across the company
- As a member of the People team, you’ll support our mission to design and deploy equitable resources and training to ensure all Warby Parker employees have the tools they need to reach their full potential
- You’ll work cross-functionally to establish new solutions in order to swiftly and effectively develop Warby Parker’s talent, especially across our fast-growing Retail teams
- You will also partner with the broader Talent Management team to improve and scale existing development programs
- Lead the design, implementation, and project management of career development and leadership development programs across the organization
- Facilitate internally designed programs including onboarding sessions, skill-building content, and leadership development programs
- Assess our needs for new development programs, and consider how to scale these programs as the business increases our headcount and number of locations in the coming years
- Support Talent Development’s survey and assessment strategy for career development programs, informing changes to current programs
- Work closely with our Learning, Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity, and Talent Assessment functions to execute overarching Talent Management strategies

They say every great idea starts with a problem, and Warby Parker kept it simple - glasses were just too expensive. Inspired by the need to have great-looking frames that didn’t break the bank, the co-founders set out to disrupt the legacy-dominated eyewear market.
Going up against Luxottica was no easy feat. They are the name behind Ray-Ban, Oakley, and Persol, as well as licence holders with Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, and many more. However, by circumventing traditional manufacturing methods, using in-house design, and engaging with customers directly, Warby Parker was able to provide high-quality and good-looking prescription glasses at a fraction of the cost.
The company's retail category disruption has led to it being one of the most successful direct-to-consumer brands of the early 21st century. Late 2021 saw Warby Parker debut an initial public offering (IPO), giving it the liquidity for the 10% footprint increase without stressing cash flow. Since then, it has found continued success and made a number of fund raises and high-profile collaborations to raise brand awareness and bring its affordable, stylish glasses to even more consumers.
