Staff Accountant, Spiral

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant with 1–2 years of accounting experience to join our growing finance team
• 1–2 years of accounting experience in a small/mid size company
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting
• Experience with monthly close processes
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Excel

• This role will work directly with our forward-thinking Director of Finance to support month-end close, maintain financial accuracy, and implement modern tools and AI-driven solutions to streamline accounting operations

• Prepare and record payroll journal entries (TriNet) including salary, wage, PTO accrual, and reimbursement entries
• Perform month end close tasks as assigned
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multiple financial institutions (including operating, sweep, reserve, clearing, and credit card accounts
• Support our donation operation by processing month end user donations and sending payments out to charities
• This position will work directly with a forward-thinking Director of Finance focused on modernizing accounting operations. The Staff Accountant will play an active role in:
• Implementing automation tools
• Leveraging AI to streamline reconciliations and close processes
• Improving financial reporting workflows
