Established names in this industry include Allianz PetPlan, L&G Pet and Direct Line Pet. However, 45% of cat or dog owners do not have pet cover as many are unconvinced by the value that pet insurance offers. Waggel targets these untapped customers who cannot or would not commit to a standard annualised insurance policy by offering a pay-as-you-go subscription model.
With customers demanding transparent and digitally-based solutions, Waggel is well-placed for filling this niche and offering a solution for the next generation of pet owners.
