Our take
The independent music market has been on a steady rise for a number of years now, but it can still be incredibly difficult for indie artists to monetize their work. Step in Duetti, a company supplying a way for smaller artists to sell their catalogs, individual tracks, or even parts of tracks - an opportunity traditionally reserved for A-list artists.
The idea behind the platform is simple, with Duetti supplying cash payment in return for as many masters as an artist would like to sell. Already serving upwards of 250 artists, and with substantial funding to boot, it has plans to accelerate the growth of its catalog acquisitions as well as develop its prediction and analytics technology to enhance the artist experience.
