The founders of Steplab have a broad and extensive set of experiences in the education system, from both teaching and operational perspectives. This is why they've built an education solution to tackle industry pitfalls, namely how to measure and improve teaching standards.
The platform harnesses instructional coaching and data-driven insights to improve the quality of teaching. It is an approach that draws on insights from top educational researchers, and empowers institutions to improve the student experience while supporting staff.
The UK is going through something of a crisis in the teaching workforce, as many defect to less stressful and better remunerated positions. A platform, therefore, that can offer an effective way of improving the quality of instruction is likely to prove popular among short-staffed headteachers looking to improve their educational provision.

- 🌴 28 days of paid leave, plus bank holidays | You’ll start with 28 days, increasing by 1 each year up to 31. We think everyone who works at Steplab should have plenty of time to recharge and enjoy life outside of work. We only ask that holidays are kept to around two weeks maximum at a time, and that you’re considerate of when others on your team are on holiday.
- 🏢 We have an office near Highbury & Islington station. We tend to come in 2-3 days per week, but we’re flexible if you want to come in more or less than that. We ask that everyone is available to come to London once per month for an all-hands meeting. We are open to fully-remote candidates, but will prioritise those amenable to hybrid working.
