Our take

Starting as a 2-person blood banking software management scheme in 1980, WellSky grew into a global medication management company in the mid-90s, before becoming a private healthcare software company in the noughties and remaining a healthcare tech innovator to this day.

Nowadays, roughly 75% of US blood supplies are tested through WellSky clients, and over 100,000 in-patient admissions for behavioral health, rehab, and long-term acute care are processed through the company each year. Wellsky's success has largely depended on staying at the front of tech innovations, which has seen it secure multiple successful funding rounds and numerous high-profile partnerships.

WellSky continues its legacy of medical partnerships to this day and has integrated seamlessly into the complex private healthcare ecosystem of the US. It has also made a number of acquisitions, for example of Experience Care, HCS and Bonafide, to continue shoring up its offering for the changing market.
