Who you are
- We need an experienced salesperson who has a consultative sales approach and a successful track record growing clients with polished presentation skills
- We are looking for an individual with SaaS experience to sell to Universities and Colleges, who is considered a thought leader in the sector, or has a good network of relevant contacts in the UK or other European countries
- Experience managing and closing complex sales in SaaS or Software
- Strong prospecting, account planning, and team-selling experience
- Organized with the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities
- A good listener and able to ask appropriate questions to learn more about the needs of others
- Ability to balance compelling business-focused presentations to prospects and effectively demonstrate technology products to audiences of various levels of technical proficiency
- Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo or other similar tools
- Receptive to feedback and able to adapt to incorporate new approaches to your work
- Able to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Proficiency in additional European languages

What the job involves
- As we continue to support growth and expansion, we are seeking an experienced Account Executive to drive new business across our higher education accounts in the EMEA region
- The Education Account Executive at Panopto is responsible for driving sales and ongoing revenue from the Panopto platform
- You will ultimately be responsible for your own success within the territory, ensuring growth in annual recurring revenue, new logo acquisition, and customer retention, while providing the best sales experience possible for our customers
- Other responsibilities may be assigned to help drive our vision and mission to alignment with our organization’s values
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of new and upsell accounts in Salesforce with a high degree of accuracy and visibility into account activity
- Exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets by driving new opportunities and expansion opportunities into existing accounts
- Identify various use cases for a software solution and build a compelling business case tailored to the prospect
- Exercise sound business judgment, creativity and resourcefulness in the pursuit of strategic accounts
- Exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue goals on a quarterly basis
- Develop a thorough knowledge of a complex technology platform and ability to launch into a demo with the end user in mind
- Establish and maintain productive relationships and effective negotiations with customers at multiple levels within organizations
- Partner with customer success to ensure high satisfaction within your accounts

Our take
The concept for Panopto developed in the early noughties when the founders noticed that storing videos on computer hard drives was becoming cheaper than storing them on tape. The company’s foundations were in a free software paid support service that provided the tools for downloading videos onto a computer. Nearly two decades later, Panopto provides educational institutions and enterprise businesses with screencasting, lecture recording, streaming and video content management software.
Panopto’s modern platform offers clients in education, aviation, telecoms, and healthcare, among others, an all-in-one video platform for creating and publishing video content. Its audience engagement tools, alongside GenAI video production software (through the acquisition of Elai), keep the company in step with modern innovations within the content production sector.
Panopto continues to grow its reach and in 2024 launched a cloud hosting service in Japan and acquired cloud hosting and GenAI startups to fuel its growth.
