Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering
- Strong knowledge of at least two cloud platforms (ideally Azure and AWS)
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Experience with product deployment in complex enterprise networks
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Buildkite, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Experience with monitoring and logging solutions
- Proficiency in the configuration of network equipment including firewalls, routers and switches
- Understanding of cyber-security principles (e.g. confidentiality, integrity and availability) and related best practices
- Experience with database administration
Desirable
- Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, GCP Professional, etc.)
- Networking certifications (CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, etc.)
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Understanding of site reliability engineering principles
- Experience with observability tools and practices
- Programming experience in Python or Rust
What the job involves
- From your first day, you will directly influence the design, functionality, and direction of Arondite’s product offering. We hire the best people and give them extremely high levels of autonomy; the sky is the limit for an individual with the right ambition
- You will collaborate with other brilliant minds to solve some of the world’s hardest and most important problems
- You will also hold DevOps responsibilities, and will bridge the gap between development and operations, automating processes to increase efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our systems
- Designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools
- Providing support and advice when implementing Arondite’s products with customers
- Ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery capabilities
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting infrastructure issues
- Managing security configurations and implementing best practices
- Collaborating with development teams to improve deployment processes and system architecture
- Collaborating with our technical operations team to support security accreditations such as Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 and SOC2
Application process
- This role is likely to require you to hold a clearance or be willing to undergo UK security vetting to Security Check (SC) or above
- This normally requires having continuous residency in the UK for at least 5 years
- Generally, our interview process is comprised of the following stages:
- CV submission with initial questions
- Introductory Teams call (30 mins)
- In-person technical interview (1-2 hours)
- Final interview with one of Arondite’s Founders (30 mins)

Our take
Modern defence operations rely on networks of drones, robots and sensors, but these systems are often built by different manufacturers and struggle to work together.
