Our take
Modern defence operations rely on networks of drones, robots and sensors, but these systems are often built by different manufacturers and struggle to work together. This fragmentation makes it harder to share information quickly, slowing decision-making and increasing risk in high-pressure environments.
Arondite addresses this by creating software that connects these systems into a single platform. Its Cobalt system links different hardware, combines their data, and gives operators a clear real-time view. Rather than replacing equipment, it integrates existing tools and uses AI to support mission planning, coordination, and human-machine teamwork. And its technology is already being developed with partners like Babcock International for the Royal Navy's move toward a mix of crewed and autonomous systems.
Unsurprisingly, Arondite is gaining momentum as demand for AI defence tools grows. Now with over $12M in funding, the company is expanding across Europe, running trials, and refining its platform. Its focus is on helping defence organisations safely manage increasingly complex, connected technologies at scale.

(Co-Founder & CEO)Previously served in the British Army for 12 years. They then moved on to work as a Defence Strategy Lead at Panatir Technologies and in Partnerships & Programmes at Helsing before co-founding Arondite in December 2023.

(Co-Founder & CTO)Graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Master's in Electronic Engineering. They previously served as the Head of Product at Garrison Technology and as a Lead Engineer at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence.
