Management Accountant, Hometree

When I joined Hometree, it was bang in the middle of winter period. Even though it was all hands on deck, I got given opportunities to learn from the get go. Over the summer periods, you get the opportunity to learn a new department and also take time to do adhoc courses (i.e Looker Dashboards). Can't wait to keep learning as we scale and develop to bigger things!

Everyone at Hometree is really friendly and approachable. We are all working to the same goals and objectives, which is clear by the culture we have at Hometree and the regular updates we get from across the business.

Every 2 weeks all employees are sent out a 30 minute calendar invite to join the business updates. Even if you can't make it these are recorded and then sent over to us in the internal messenger so we don't miss any update. Team meetings every morning consist of any update, no matter how large or small they maybe!

Hometree offers the opportunity to work on meaningful products that are part of the solution when it comes to helping bring homes to carbon neutrality. Everybody is willing to get their hands dirty and and works in a collaborative way. When joining Hometree, you have the opportunity to have a real impact on the product, the business and building a fair solution for homeowners, engineers and the environment.

As Hometree is a start-up environment, the hierarchy is flat, and everyone's opinion and work matters. It is an agile environment and fast-paced environment. There is never a dull or boring day!

Teams have great flexibility over how they work. We have access to a great London office that's really social, but hybrid working is the norm and we use technology to ensure we remain connected to our colleagues where ever they might be.

There is loads of accountability for decision making across the business and at every level. Employees are really encouraged to make decisions quickly, based on the data available to them.
