Role
Who you are
- At least 5 years of direct sales experience in IT and/or cybersecurity; experience selling to hospitals strongly preferred
- Consistent track record for meeting and exceeding sales quotas with emphasis on net new logos added
- Ability to lead a complex sales process and build close relationships with varied stakeholders (e.g. CIO/CISO down to analyst level)
- Strong IT and/or cybersecurity technical acumen; understanding of HIPAA, NIST, ISO, and other security frameworks a huge plus
- Previous success in an early-stage company growing a territory and exceeding sales goals a significant advantage
- The ideal candidate will have a strong sales experience and passion to work with customers and partners. You should be a self-motivated individual who can work independently while also collaborating effectively with internal teams to drive results
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a tenured Sales Director to join our team
- As a Sales Director, you’ll be responsible for managing a sales territory like your own business, which means you’ll bring a combination of creativity, strategy and hustle to the table
- This individual contributor role will be focused on acquiring new hospital logos in the West of America, as well as expansions and upsells within our existing customers
- You’ll report to the VP of Sales of Americas and work closely with an amazing cross-functional team to support you in building out an effective sales strategy for your territory
- Define and execute a sales plan for your designated territory to achieve quota through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities
- Manage and grow a healthy sales pipeline large enough to your meet annual quota
- Co-sell and strategize with channel partners and VARs
- Understand and navigate customer buying procedures and potential roadblocks
- Regularly engage prospective customers in the field at industry events (either virtual or in-person)
- Direct the Proof of Value (PoV) process with prospective customers
- Accurately forecast bookings on a quarterly basis and be disciplined in logging opportunity details in Salesforce
- Collaborate with Marketing, Business Development, Product Development, and other internal teams to achieve both individual and company goals
- In this role, you'll have the exciting opportunity to shape our sales strategy in the west of the US and drive market expansion, directly influencing the company's bottom line
- By leveraging channel partners and building a robust professional network, you will play a crucial part in accelerating sales growth and making a significant impact on our success
Our take
Cynerio is looking to help healthcare CISCOs combat the emerging threat of hospital network cyber-attacks. With nearly 70% of medical devices expected to be connected to health system networks by 2025, the threat is urgent. Cynerio’s suite of preemptive and proactive zero-trust solutions for medical devices is designed to assess and mitigate this risk.
The risk that security breaches pose to patients is clear, but combating them in a field that often operates on outdated and cumbersome systems is a difficult task.
