Our take

Cynerio is looking to help healthcare CISCOs combat the emerging threat of hospital network cyber-attacks. With nearly 70% of medical devices expected to be connected to health system networks by 2025, the threat is urgent. Cynerio’s suite of preemptive and proactive zero-trust solutions for medical devices is designed to assess and mitigate this risk.

The risk that security breaches pose to patients is clear, but combating them in a field that often operates on outdated and cumbersome systems is a difficult task. Founded in 2017, Cynerio has already won a number of industry accolades and funding for its efforts to do so, delivering both proactive and reactive measures that enables multi-layered defense and valuable visibility into all a hospital's devices.

The investment has been used to double down on its involvement in the lucrative US market, where healthcare security spending is in the trillions of dollars.
