Our take

Focused on large and complex businesses, CO2 AI uses machine learning to help businesses track, report, measure, and reduce the environmental footprint of their operations.

Its platform processes and translates complex data into actionable insights, allowing users to make the most impactful changes. Interestingly, it includes "Scope 3" emissions in this analysis, which are emissions that are not directly produced by the company but by the organisations it controls.

Incubated within the technology wing of Boston Consulting Group, the company was spun out in 2023, with BCG acting as one of the funding bodies behind its corresponding fundraise. CO2 AI is using these funds to expand its footprint in Europe and North America as it moves ahead in its journey as a standalone business.
