Our take
Financial data analysis is imperative for small businesses to flourish, but it is equally valuable to other parties. Larger companies often need to access data to measure the financial risk of small businesses for underwriting, target outbound marketing, and gain market visibility, but accurate information is generally only available regarding large businesses and enterprises.
Enigma provides a small business data platform, aggregating card revenues, revenue growth, transaction volume, and other card-related data to give companies insight into the finances of small businesses. The company combines offline official public records with digitally collected sources to validate the accuracy of its data, which the company claims can help them avoid the risk of misinformed forecasting.
Whilst many existing platforms specialize in data sharing between large businesses, small businesses play a huge part in many larger businesses’ operations, and Enigma has been smart to recognize that this means a dedicated data solution is required. It aims to help companies mitigate risk when working with smaller businesses, improve insight-driven marketing, and increase market visibility for these firms.
