CarTrawler provides car rental and mobility solutions to travel industry players, allowing them to supplement their revenue and improve the experiences of their customers. It runs what is essentially a B2B marketplace for car rentals, through which airlines and travel agents can offer their clients end-to-end travel options.
The company has cemented its position within the industry through major partnerships and platform expansions. Most recently, Heathrow Airport selected CarTrawler to power the car rental offering on their website, giving customers access to thousands of suppliers and locations worldwide. The deal also reinforces CarTrawlers position as a leading B2B travel technology provider.
Alongside this, CarTrawler has attracted industry attention following reports that Expedia Group is exploring the potential acquisition or investment in the business. The speculation comes after a strong period of growth, with the company reportedly increasing adjusted EBITDA by 20% year-over-year in fiscal 2025 while continuing to expand its airline partner network, including Ryanair, American Airlines, Quantas, Etihad and Finnair. And a deal with Expedia would certainly place CarTrawler at the centre of the rapidly growing B2B travel technology market.
