Jupiter Intelligence provides weather and climate risk analytics to high profile enterprises in the insurance, real estate and energy industries including BP, Liberty Mutual, and Zurich, as well as government-funded bodies like NASA and the U.S. Department of Defense.
There’s been a growing wave of investment into weather and climate focused startups over the last few years, as extreme weather events become more frequent. The background of Jupiter Intelligence’s co-founding team suggests it's up to the task. Rich Sorkin and Eric Wun co-founded weather prediction company Zeus Analytics in 2008, Josh Hacker previously worked for the National Center for Atmospheric Research, whileAlan Blumberg helped develop the celebrated Princeton Ocean Model.
