Our take

The ongoing explosion in the popularity of short-term property rentals shows no signs of slowing down. And this marketplace has led to a number of adjacent businesses focused on servicing these properties.

Keycafe is one of those businesses. It delivers security assurances for property owners through smart, internet connected key lockboxes. Users can remotely manage and hand-off physical keys to their employees, guests and customers.

Its unique IoT technology and refined management dashboard make for a widely admired product, with the company experiencing tremendous growth. The challenge for Keycafe will be demonstrating the validity of its product across more, and more varied, use cases in the future.
