With the predominant model of healthcare being routine checkups and care for severe discomfort, chronic disease and health disparity are on the rise in the US. Function Health is a company that promotes a continuous mode of healthcare by removing barriers to lab testing.
Founded by former employees at Google Research, Meta, Fitbit and Tonal, Function Health provides subscribers with new ways to manage their health, opting for preventative measures rather than treatment. It does this by providing members with all-in-one lab testing, with more than 100 different tests available. It quantifies results and insights in an accessible and actionable manner, making caring for your health easier to manage.
Having only come out of stealth in 2023, it's impressive to see Function already secure a substantial Series A round and a 50,000-plus membership base. Its disruptive model of preventative healthcare is clearly turning heads, and it will use its fresh funding to scale its platform to a wider market.
