StuRents enable students to find accommodation. Having been established in 2008, the company has grown organically since then and now lists over 700,000 rooms in over 100 towns and cities across the UK
Unlike other rental platforms, like Rightmove and Zoopla, StuRents doesn't just allow agencies to use their platform. Instead, they also accept private landlords and purpose-built student accommodation operators, ensuring a broad range of options are made available to house-hunting students. Ultimately, this has levelled the playing field for these groups to compete for student tenants
Moreover, StuRents distinguishes itself further by offering an end to end property management software (Concurrent.co.uk) to facilitate the full range of operational needs, such as contract signing, rent collection, referencing and deposit protection.
The data generated by the marketing and end-to-end services also allows StuRents to offer industry-leading research and data insights to institutional clients such as banks, developers and real-estate investors

Everybody is happy and willing to help even people in higher positions are super down-to-earth and easy to talk to. My manager creates this super fun and interactive learning experience where we get to use posters, sticky notes and markers which kind of brings me back to school. I joined StuRents as an entry level employee and have felt supported by all areas of the business throughout onboarding and further development. My manager made a strong conscious effort to introduce me to all departments across the company and open communication pathways with them. Everyone is always happy to help and they put in the time to teach the method not just provide an answer when applicable. All questions are always address in detail so you walk away from every conversation with greater clarity on any topic. There is also great transparency, if an unknown issue or challenge is presented, its tackled together. My team has great check-in's to keep communication lines open and we get one to one development meetings weekly with our manager. We also have monthly one to one time with our Head of Department regarding development.

With the product growing, changing and improving daily, we're constantly learning. It also means no two days are ever the same. I find that we're encouraged to continue learning every day. This is aided by accessible Head of Departments, Directors and Founders. We're also regularly asked what we'd like to be doing/learning more of. So the work opportunities are presented where our interest and strengths lie. It keeps it fresh and challenging. External opportunities to learn have also been presented.

Being someone that has been burnt out at previous companies, it was important for me to find a workplace that helps set the boundaries and balance the workload for you. StuRents has been just that for me. Although I am always busy, I never feel overwhelmed. There is an effort made to reduce stress through good leadership, realistic and fair deadlines and constant support. There is variation in my work, both reactive and proactive and I have never ended a work day without feeling like I had made a positive contribution to the business.
