Our take
In recent years, the mobile gaming industry has blown up, and companies like ZeptoLab have seized the opportunity to capitalise on their rapidly growing target audience. Founded in 2010, when it released the hit game Cut the Rope, the company has since transformed its flagship character Om Nom into a brand spanning cartoon series, books, and merchandise.
ZeptoLab has released a number of popular games, including CATS: Crash Arena Turbo Stars, Om Nom: Run, and Bullet Echo, with its titles recognised by numerous awards including the BAFTAs, Game Developer Choice Awards, and iKids Awards. As well as developing games, the company acts as a publisher, and provides in-game advertising opportunities for businesses.
In 2023, ZeptoLab collaborated with TRUE and Sandbox, platforms that integrate NFTs into the existing processes of businesses. This is bringing ZeptoLab's brand to the world of Web 3.0 with the creation of next-gen NFTs starring Om Nom.
