Our take
Relex offers a software platform deployed by retailers to help decide which products to buy and when. Using AI-driven demand forecasts, and by automating retail supply chains, grocers are empowered to meet consumer demand whilst reducing food waste.
Retail food waste accounts for a good chunk of the millions of tonnes of food wasted each year, contributing a significant amount to global greenhouse gas emissions. With Relex, retailers can greatly reduce their own impact to this problem - which is becoming increasingly attractive in the wake of accelerating environmental concerns.
Boasting a valuation in the billions, and serving renowned clientele such as Lidl, Marks & Spencers, and WHSmith, it is clear that Relex has found its place in the market. The company has been investing in refining its product so it can better meet retailers’ changing supply chain needs, including with the addition of new AI tool Relex-GPT, designed to make its clients operations even more efficient.
