Our take
There are two common issues in the fitness training industry - one being that group fitness classes do not personalise individual needs, and the other being that fitness technology fails to build strong communities. This decreases motivation and can cause training to plateau.
BEAT81 was inspired to rectify these issues and has since become one of Europe’s fastest-growing HIIT training & fitness technology companies. It combines high-intensity group training, motivational coaching, and heart rate technology. Using the latter, coaches can look at data and insights to adapt and improve their classes for specific cases.
The company started with training sessions across multiple cities in Germany, including Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne. It invested Series A funding into continuing to build its technology whilst initiating efforts to expand internationally, as it looks to consolidate its growth further.
