Our take

A number of things have kept the pace of digital transformation for healthcare moving slowly - including privacy concerns, insufficiently skilled staff, and low funding - but a major problem is the difficulty in integrating digital solutions into old-fashioned systems. Redox serves as a crucial link between legacy healthcare systems and digital health services, by enabling these services to access and interpret patients' electronic health records.

Redox's platform offers an intermediary for point-to-point connection, connecting products, providers, and payers. With access to data and services throughout the healthcare ecosystem, companies are able to build easier and create better digital healthcare products faster, helping to transform the legacy landscape of medicine.

Redox has worked with hundreds of app developers, connecting them to a vast number of electronic health records from a range of providers. It has partnered with several other companies, including Smile Digital Health, towards making it easier for legacy data to be transformed for use in digital health services, and has begun international expansion with movement into Canada.
