hyperexponential was created to provide modelling software to help people and businesses build, deploy and manage analytical models that work with small, sparse and fragmented datasets. Its goal is to make teams more agile, collaborate more deeply, and work more productively.
hyperexponential's pricing and data-driven decision-making software is built for the specialty and commercial insurance markets. The product has broad applications, but the company's initial focus is on specialty insurance, a sector the founders know well, having worked there for more than a decade.
hyperexponential currently works with 13 of the largest insurers in Europe and is growing fast. In addition, the company launched Renew Connect, a partnership programme which offers integrations between all the best-of-breed solutions for insurers like Insurdata and Inari, and ensures the data flows freely and consistently between them.

When I joined hx in April I already had a few years of recruitment knowledge, however understanding the internal workings of a scale up, the open communication across Engineering, C-Level, Business and Talent meant that my opinions and ideas were taken onboard across the company. I've learnt a lot in the six months I've been at hx and levelled up even quicker to match our incredibly high and talented bar. Working with such smart people allows you better progression to excelling and improving even if it is just 1% at a time. There is never any lack of time attributed to learning, whether its through our lunchtime learning sessions virtually, catchups with your team or just knowing that everyone here is approachable that you can message people about anything. My Head of Talent & Community has helped put in place frameworks for me to adapt and improve on, with so much autonomy for me to focus in the areas that truly matter.

I love working in startups. The size of the business, and the ambition of growth means that you are regularly given far more responsibility than in larger organisations. The difference at hx is that your voice is listened to, and then put together against an incredibly well thought out strategy, vision and mission. Everyone cares so much about what they are doing and (importantly) that we are in it together. So your voice is not only heard, it's supported and amplified by your coworkers. There is always a balance to find between listening to everything (or even just the loudest voices) and maintaining the course no matter what. I think what is unique at hx is that the culture of kindness, care and enthusiasm is so engrained, and the mission and vision are so well thought out, that your voice is listened to by people constantly thinking about how to support you and the business better.

Tech isn't diverse. Yet. I run a women in legal tech foundation in my spare time and diversity is a priority. Clearly, hx is not a diverse business yet, but I have been impressed with the well thought out approach to changing that. The introduction of the choose-your-own-adventure interview process to give candidates the opportunity to show how they shine the most is awesome. There are active measures being introduced to nurture and bring in more diverse talent. In marketing we're looking at how we message and share our way of working better, to encourage and support those looking to flex work. There are some really cool initiatives that were working on right now and, importantly, leadership is not only on board, but is actively driving the business towards doing better.

Ive been trying to identify for me what separates hx management from places I have worked before. I believe it distills down to how thoughtful they all are. A lot of management puts in the hours, but far fewer think about what impact their choices will have on those lower down the ladder. Because hx has values (and really sticks to them) every decision or choice is reflected upon through the culture lens. Is this decision the most compassionate one I could make? Will this choice support the team in being innovative and enthusiastic? Is this way of working going to create a team that can scale without sacrificing what has made it great until now? Put simply, management at hx is organised, thoughtful and always aware that actions have consequences. So you need to think them through and act with the best interests of your business and your employees at all times.
